You are bidding on a massive desktop brass box with accompanying blotter and inkwell. The box measures approximately 11 inches by 6 inches by 2.25 inches tall. The inkwell is approximately 3.25 inches in diameter. The exterior of the box is in good condition with several medallion without enamel or a bit loose. The medallions may depict various zodiac signs but I am unsure. The top of the box is tooled with a design of looks like a bat. Most of the interior wood liner remains inside but it’s a bit dirty from age. The box hinges open and closed without trouble. The blotter does not have the original felt material but otherwise good condition. The inkwell is free of damage and complete with interior ink container. The pieces are simply marked “ CHINA “ on the underside which dates the pieces to between 1897 and 1921. After 1921, they were marked “ Made in China “ . Nice desktop collectors set.
