  • Condition: This radio was purchased surplus from the CG back about 2016. It transmits a clean signal, about 22 watts, and has a sensitive receiver. It has DSC, plus all foghorns and a 30 Watt Hailer system. No corrosion. 4 built in fog signals, bells. It has a new bracket AND a new mic! See the photos carefully. The rear of the case is not perfect. It will need a rubber plug in the back, lower left. The weather channels DO NOT work. Clear MMSI, ready to be programmed. Easy to use.

    Description

    For your consideration is the well respected Standard Horizon Quantum GX3500S marine VHF. The display is bright and clear, it transmits and receives well, about 22 watts RF. However, the weather receiver does NOT work, there is a cosmetic chip on the lower left side where it may not be seen (perhaps fill with black silicone), see the photos. It is still sealed at that location inside as the removed case shows. Otherwise, it works well. New mic and bracket. Short pigtail for power.
    This has a very loud speaker, plus easy to use controls and a rotary pot for changing channels, a plus in heavy seas. This radio has a good bit of surface mount technology inside, it has no corrosion as you can see in the photos. It has a 30 watt hailer, plus four different fog, bell signals. Class D DSC, commercial. Standard Vertex is also known for their commercial and government radio gear. Actual shipping charges apply via Priority Mail. Thanks for your time and consideration.
